Procedure
Since 1.04.2017 the psychotherapy policy has changed.
This indicates, that people first come to a consultation (Sprechstunde) which is a 25 min session, which can be used 6x (or 3x 50 min). Children and young people have the possibility to use these consultations up to 10x (or 5x 50 min).
Subsequently you can take up to 4 more probatory sessions (Probatorische Sitzungen) of 50 min. Children and young people can take up to 6 more probatory sessions of 50 min.
If a therapy should be started after these sessions, there are two different possibilities. Either you can start with short term therapy I, which indicates 12 sessions of 50 min. If more sessions are needed it is possible to apply for short term therapy II, which are again 12 sessions of 50 min. If more sessions are needed short term therapy can be converted in long term therapy with 36 more sessions of 50 min.
For children and young people there will be 3 sessions of 50 min added in short term therapy I and II for parents, guardians and/or other caregivers. If short term therapy is converted into long term therapy 9 more sessions of 50 min for parents, guardians and/or other caregivers will be added on top of the above sessions.
Alternatively, you may apply directly for a long term therapy with 60 sessions of 50 min. Children and young people have 15 more sessions of 50 min for parents, guardians and/or other caregivers.

Assumption of costs
In any case therapy can only be started after your statutory health insurance approve the payment for your therapy.
If you have private health insurance you should check with your insurance whether the therapy costs will be covered or not prior to beginning your sessions with me.
To give yourself the best possible outcome from therapy sessions, you should commit to undertaking a series of sessions and ensure that you attend sessions on time.
